ICF slalom race WAVE2009 information

following the rules of ICF
maximal number of participants in heats on 1st August 2009: 180
start fee: 280 CZK or 10 EUR
the course dificulty correspondes with the kind of the race and its significance and course designers (Lukáš Pollert a Jakub Prüher) nature. Translation: the course will be pretty difficult :), so we can't accept such as argumentation as a low age or low slalom skills of some competitors during the course approval.

owners of 2nd grade (according to the rules of Czech Canoe Federation) till the deadline of number of participants, preffered are participants of WAVE2006 - WAVE2008 and the turn in chart of NKZ 2008 (serie of National Control Races)
exception could be made just according to decision of the organiser, that is taking account of results of the paddler of WAVE2009 TEEN CUP^tm

The organiser has the right to set up the numbers of races according to the number of participants in the category. Final number progress key will be introduced during team leaders meeting before heats. The organiser can increase the number of racers in semi-final run to in categories K1W, C1 and K1M at least 6 juniors will participate (year of born 1991 or later).

Teen cup^TM České Budějovice slalom race information.

The organization of the competition is based on licence extended by Teen Cup^TM organizing comittee from Tacen, Slovenia, as a part of Teen cup^TM series.. The competition is intended for young paddlers born between years 1993-1996.

age categories: U15, born in 1995-1996, U17, born in 1993-1994

semi and final: Friday 31st July 2009
number of participants in semifinal run will be specified during the team leaders meeting, in final run will start most 10 best boats each boat and age category.

WAVE Best Kids 2009 Information.

Race WAVE Best Kids 2009 is taking place on the course of ICF slalom race WAVE2009. Five best racers of WAVE2009 TEEN CUP ™ in categories K1W, C1 and K1M have reason to start, year of born 1995-1998. There's no start fee.

First run will take place right before the semi-final run of ICF slalom race WAVE2009, second run right before the final run of ICF slalom race WAVE2009.

Result of WAVE Best Kids 2009 is made of sum of both runs. Participants of WAVE Best Kids 2009 will be involved also in the results of ICF slalom race WAVE2009.

If a racer, that has the reason to start in WAVE Best Kids 2009, qualify in semi-final run of ICF slalom race WAVE2009, he/she will start in the order of result in ICF slalom race WAVE2009, but the result will be also count as the first run in WAVE Best Kids 2009.

If a racer, that has the reason to start in WAVE Best Kids 2009, qualify in final run of ICF slalom race WAVE2009, he/she will start in the order of result in ICF slalom race WAVE2009, but the result will be also count as the second run in WAVE Best Kids 2009.

place of race: upper part of slalom course, between warming up pool and starting place of ICF slalom race WAVE2009

type of race: extreme slalom race according to rules of ICF suggested to start to use in 2009
order of categories: C2, K1W, C1, K1M both runs, between runs there will be made a break according to the schedule of WAVE2009
result: sum of both runs

WAVE2009 Samba Boater Cross information.

Heats and quaterfinals: Saturday 1st August 2009
Start fee: 100 CZK/boat
Capacity of heats: to the limit of 32 boats, for participation is important the time of application
Rules: rules of WAVE Masso Cross
Number of boats in a run: 4
Progress to the next part of the race: best 2 boats of each run

Semi-final and final: Sunday 2nd August 2009
2 semi-final runs each of 4 boats, 2 best boats of each run will participate in the final run

WAVE2009 Pub Rest Cup information.

When: Saturday 1st August 2009 just after Samba Boater Cross qualifications
Place of race: start just in front of the second bridge (last cascade), finish line is the same as for Samba Boater Cross
Start fee: 150 CZK / boat
Number of boats in a run: 10-12, it will be settled during Saturday
Numbers of runs: One only
Victory ceremony: awards will be given in the finish line, just after the finish
Boats: Samba canoes by Železný. Boats and paddles are ensured by the organizer.
Equipment: ensured by each participant, life jacket and helmet are compulsory
Rules: two paddlers (one oboat) are getting ready for the start on the right bank, boats with paddles are prepared on the the other bank. On the start beep teams are starting and try to get a boat. During reaching to the boats nobody is allowed to use the second bridge, but anyone can use the first bridge (start of ICF slalom race). It’s just on the team which boat they will choose and occupy. After boarding every team has to pass some gate combinations and reach the finish line. Result are made according to the order of boats on the finish line. More rules same as in Wave Masso Cross.
Reason to start: opened for any 2 persons teams.
Protests: not allowed
Awards for the winner boat: keg-beer and a plate with suprise.
